Empire 8 Conference) fell 3-0 to Houghton College in Tuesday
night’s match in Speidel Gymnasium. The
Soaring Eagles, who started the season with a seven-game win
streak, are 1-4 in their last five non-conference contests.
Susan Clark ’09 (Cooperstown, NY -- Cooperstown)
led the squad with eight kills and 13 digs as the Soaring Eagles
dropped three consecutive matches, 25-21, 25-17, 25-19.
Tesia Kaczynski ’11 (Mansfield, PA -- Mansfield)
finished with a team-high 19 assists, while first year defensive
specialist
Katie Leo ’12 (Hicksville, NY -- Holy Trinity)
contributed 12 digs
The loss marks the fifth time the Elmira Women were defeated by a
3-0 margin.
The Soaring Eagles will look to rebound October 18th when they
travel for the Regis Tournament. The event is scheduled
for 10:00 a.m.
