Four Goal Fourth Quarter Pushes Men's Lacrosse Over Lycoming College

WILLIAMSPORT, PA – Second year attacker
Brad Levick ’09 earned a total of 5
goals today to help lead the Soaring Eagles over the Warriors of
Lycoming College. EC defeated Lycoming by the score of 10-8.
The first quarter had the Warriors (0-4) tallying 4 goals while
holding EC (2-1) scoreless for the first 15 minutes of the game.
However the Soaring Eagles came back in the second quarter and
closed the game to only a one goal deficit. Also in the second
quarter Elmira managed to keep Lycoming off of the scoreboards.
After the half it was anyone’s game to win with EC only
trailing by one goal. First year attack
Kevin Morrison ’10 tied the game at
4-4 with his first goal of the day, which was scored in the early
minutes of the quarter. From their Lycoming answered right back
with a goal of their own. The third quarter was a back and forth
offensive battle with
Levick recording two more goals along with the
Warriors scoring two goals of their own maintaining their one point
lead going into the fourth.
Elmira then went into the fourth quarter knowing that their defense
was going to have to make some crucial stops. The
Soaring Eagles stepped up to the challenge holding Lycoming to only
one goal the entire quarter.
Levick earned two more goals in the fourth along
with a goal from
Adam Williamson ’07 and
Dan Frost ’10.
First year goalie
Geoffrey Lane ’10 came up with a total
of 15 saves and also earned 2 groundballs.
Elmira College will now face Keuka College on Saturday, March 17 at
5 p.m. at Corning War Memorial Stadium in Corning, NY.
