Elmira, NY - Tonight's Empire 8 women's basketball game between
the Soaring Eagles and the Tigers of RIT was a back and forth fight
for the entire game.
The game started with RIT taking a six point lead six minutes into
the half. EC would continue to close the gap but were unable to
take the lead until 9:26 in the half when

team a one point lead. The lead in which EC had gained would not
last long. The Tigers came right back with a three point basket to
take a two point lead.

seconds later. With only four minutes left in the first half

points (31-25).

not start off quick for EC but the Purple and Gold held their lead
over RIT until 17:00 in the half when the Tigers tied the game for
third time tonight. RIT would gain a three point advantage, but
would only have the lead for a minute when

basket they needed to take the lead for the final time in the game.
