Men's Basketball Earns First Win of the Season Over D'Youville

Eria, PA - In the consolation game of the Penn State Behrend tournament the men's basketball team defeated D'Youville by the score of 76-37. 

Leading the Soaring Eagles was first year players Jon Adamson '10 and KC Mendez '10.  Adamson recorded a total of 16 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 steals.  Adamson was 5-8 from the floor, and 6-7 from the free throw line.  Mendez tallied 12 points and pulled 2 boards. He was 4-4 in field goals, 1-1 from three point range, and 3-9 from the line. 

EC led D'Youville the entire game going up 29-17 at the end of the first half.  EC would come back to scored 47 more points in the second half and held D'Youville to only 20 points. 

Men's Basketball will take this win into tomorrows game against SUNY Cortland.  Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Speidel Gymnasium and is the Soaring Eagles home opener of the 2006 season.
