Women's Soccer Goes 110 Minutes for 0-0 Tie with Hartwick

Elmira, NY - In their final regular season Empire 8 conference match the women's soccer team tied Hartwick College 0-0.  The Soaring Eagles out shot the Hawks 19 shots to 10 shots. 

Jessica Talbot '08 led EC with 5 total shots in today's match.  Out of Talbot's 5 shots, 4 of the shots were on goal.  Bridget Catanese '08 and Moira Ghent '09 each had 3 shots on goal.  Laurie Teske '08, Christine Domingo '08, and Rachael Sparks '07 each recorded 1 shot on goal for the Purple and Gold.  Goalkeeper Meaghan Doherty '08 came up 6 saves in the match. 

Jennifer Vandenberg '07 and Kali Spurlock '10 led the Hawks offense with 2 shots.  Five other players on Hartwick tallied 1 shot on goal in the match.  Ashley Taylor '09 earned 13 saves for Hartwick. 

Women's soccer will complete their regular season this Saturday, October 28th when they take on St. Lawrence University in a non-conference match.  Game time is scheduled for 2:30 p.m.
