Men's Soccer Earns First Conference Win Of The Season Over Utica

Elmira, NY - This past weekend the men's soccer team earned
their first conference win of the 2006 season when they defeated
Utica College by the score of 4-2.
Leading the team over the Pioneers was first year forward
Brian Haschke '10.
Haschke scored two of EC's four
goals.
Haschke's first goal was also the first
goal of the match and was scored in the 25th
minute. His second goal was also the last goal of the
match, and that goal was scored in the 65th minute.
Also recording a goal for EC was first year forward
Tim Certosimo '10 who scored one
minute after
Haschke's first goal.
The third goal for the Purple and Gold was
scored by
Justin Strausser '09.
Strausser's goal came in the 62nd minute of the
match. Second year goalkeeper
Jon DePrimo '09 earned seven saves for
EC and faced thirteen shots from
Utica's offense.
Utica's first goal of the match came in the 62nd minute of the
match from second year midfielder
Robert Russell '09. The Pioneer's
second goal of the match was scored by
Evan Dufault '08 at 64:34. Goalkeeper
Andrew Miller '08 earned four saves and faced
twelve shots from Elmira.
The men's soccer team returns to action
this Tuesday, October 10th when
they head to Union
College. Game time is scheduled
to begin at 6 p.m.
