Volleyball Earns First Conference Win Of The Season

Elmira, NY - The Elmira College Volleyball team earned their first conference win of the 2006 season today.  The Soaring Eagles defeated Utica College 3-0.

Fourth year outside hitter Jess Mezei '07 tallied a total of 15 kills and 13 digs in today's game.  Setter Amanda Weaver '10 put up a total of 24 assists and recorded 11 assists for the Purple and Gold.  Susan Clark '09 earned a total of 12 digs.  Third year middle hitter Katie Schildwaster '08 tallied a total of 15 assists and first year defensive specialist Jen Jenkins '09 also earned 16 digs in today's game. 

EC's overall record now moves to 5-8 overall 1-0 in the Empire 8 conference.  The team will head to Hamilton College for the Hamilton Invitational on Friday September 29th.
