Each year alumni, parents, faculty and staff, foundations,
corporations, and friends of Elmira College
pledge
their support to the Annual Fund. Donors help raise over $1
million each year for the past four years to close the gap between
tuition income and the costs of providing the best educational
resources to our students.
Phonathon is a vital component of the College's successful
Annual Fund.
Each fall, students call alumni and parents to ask for their
pledges. On request, students will happily sing College songs like
"Simeon Benjamin" or the "Alma Mater." During Phonathon 2005-2006,
over 450 student volunteers made calls for more than 2,000 gifts
and pledges, which generated over $250,000 for the Annual Fund.
