Glenys Flaitz ’09

Business Administration Marketing

     Glenys works in the Consumer Packaged Goods industry for Unilever, the makers of Dove Soap, Hellmann’s Mayonnaise, Breyer’s Ice Cream, and many other international brands. Elmira College has helped Glenys prepare for this position in several ways. “My marketing classes taught me the basics of business strategy and data analysis,” Glenys explains. “My Acting I class taught me how to carry myself well in front of people and be ‘in the moment’ while presenting. My art classes taught me how to solve problems, rather than just answer questions.
     As a student, Glenys was also involved in SIFE (Students in a Free Enterprise) and says that it “taught me important lessons in networking, project management, problem solving, and leading a team.”
