January 5th, 2007
The Association of Media and Entertainment Counsel bestowed a
Special Founders Award on Steven Glick '78, Senior Vice President
and General Counsel, Americas and his legal team at Thomson. "I am
delighted that the Association has, with this Special Founders
Award, chosen to recognize my individual accomplishments as the
General Counsel, Americas for Thomson, while at the same time also
recognizing the critical role that the Thomson legal function has
played in transforming the company, in a short space of time, from
a major consumer electronics company to a leading provider of
services, systems and technology to the media & entertainment
industry (through its Technicolor, Grass Valley, RCA and Thomson
brands), stated Glick, who also noted: “As Thomson is a
world leader in digital video technologies, my team is essential to
the deployment of many of the technological advances which are
taking place, with some notable successes over the past 12 months,
including the signing of long-term digital screen management
agreements with the major studios to accelerate the deployment of
digital cinema systems in the US and Canada, and agreements with
major exhibitors to install digital projection systems in their
theatres."
Steven earned his bachelors in 1978 in political
science. He is married with two children.
