Captain William Fraley '77 Graduates from FBI Academy

State Police Commissioner Jeffrey B. Miller announced today that Capt. William R. Fraley '77 of Camp Hill, Cumberland County, has graduated from the 227th Session of the FBI National Academy Program at Quantico, Virginia.
Internationally known for its academic excellence, the National Academy Program offers 11 weeks of advanced investigative, management and fitness training for selected officers having proven records as professionals within their agencies.
FBI Director John Pistole was principal speaker at the graduation ceremony in December.
Miller said Fraley, 52, has returned to his position as director of the Safety Program Division in the State Police Bureau of Patrol in Harrisburg.
A native of Athens, Bradford County, Fraley enlisted in the State Police in 1980. Following his training at the State Police Academy, he was assigned to Troop H, Harrisburg.
As he progressed through the ranks, he also served at stations in Lykens, Dunmore, Towanda and Wyoming and with the Bureau of Patrol. He was promoted to corporal in 1987, to sergeant in 1994, to lieutenant in 1999 and to captain in 2005.
Fraley received his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. He also attended the New England Institute of Law Enforcement Management at Babson College in Wellesley, Mass.
He has two daughters, Denise and Sarah.
