Let's Get Started
We offer two admissions plans for freshman applicants: Early
Decision and Regular Admission.
International students may apply only under the Regular
Admission program.
Regular Admission
If you are applying to several colleges, here is what you
do for Elmira College:
-
Submit a completed application. We accept the
online
Common Application or
Universal Application or you can
download and print an application that you mail to us. We make
decisions and notify candidates on a rolling basis as soon as
applications are complete.
-
Have your counselor send your official transcript,
including senior year courses and grades to date.
-
Have your official SAT I or ACT scores sent to Elmira
College (scores on official transcripts are fine).
-
Have one letter of recommendation sent to the
college. You can find the address at the bottom of
this screen.
-
Write a great essay.
-
If you have not had an interview, schedule yours
now. While not required, we strongly suggest you sit
down with an Elmira College admissions counselor for an
interview. You can schedule your interview by calling the
Office of Admissions at 800-935-6472 (or 607-735-1724).
-
If you are accepted, notify Elmira College by May 1
with your college decision.
Early Decision
If Elmira College is your first choice college, Early
Decision is the program for you. We'll make a decision on your
application as soon as it is complete, but you do have to meet the
deadlines. There are two Early Decision programs; the first
deadline is November 15, and the second is January 15. We promise
to notify you of our decision by December 15 for Early Decision I
applicants and by January 31 for Early Decision II applicants. Here
