Returning Students

Financial aid must be renewed annually. Once Term III grades are posted, beginning in June, award letters are mailed to students who have completed the required paperwork.

Application Priority Date: May 1, 2013


  1. Complete the 2013-2014 FAFSA application

    Lower your chances of being required to submit additional documentation to the Office of Financial Aid by using the IRS Data Retrieval Tool to transfer 2012 tax information directly into your FAFSA. This is available within three weeks after you submit your tax forms electronically to the IRS or within eight weeks if you mail them in paper form.

    Once the Office of Financial Aid receives your FAFSA report, we will follow up with you for any additional required paperwork.
  2. Complete your state grant program application (if applicable).

  1. Print the 2013-14 International Student Financial Aid Application.
  2. Mail, fax or email your completed application and copies of 2012 personal income tax forms to the Office of Financial Aid.
  3. Financial Aid Award Letters are mailed to students who have completed the required paperwork beginning in June, once Term III grades are posted.

Elmira College Honor Scholarship Renewal and Reinstate-Retroactive Policy:

Scholarships will be renewed based on required cumulative GPA at the end of Term III

All scholarships are renewable for three additional years based on:

Should a student’s grade point average fall below the requirement at the end of the academic year, the student may apply for a need-based grant from the College and other assistance by completing the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) 

If the grade point average is achieved at the end of future academic years, but no later than the end of the student’s fourth year at the College, the scholarship will be reinstated and the student’s account will be credited with the difference between the scholarship and any need-based grant from the College.
