Brett earned his Bachelor’s of Science in Biology and Master’s of Science in Education from Elmira College. Upon graduating from EC, Brett worked in the Office of Admissions as an Admissions Counselor for four years. He was then promoted to Assistant to the Vice President and Dean of Student Life and International Student Director, where he has served for the past four years.

Leslie Daloia joined the Admissions team in the Summer of 2009. Born and raised in Painted Post, NY, Leslie graduated from Wells College in Aurora, NY with a degree in Psychology and Education. In 2009, Leslie graduated with a Master’s degree in Education from Elmira College. Currently, she is the advisor to the Gold Key Society - a group of dedicated students who conduct campus tours and share their fulfilling campus experience with prospective students.

Leslie will be traveling through New York State including the areas surrounding Binghamton, Syracuse, Rochester, Buffalo, the local Elmira area and the state of Ohio, introducing prospective students to the great educational opportunities at EC and guiding them through the admissions process.

Amber Crouthamel joined the Admissions team in the Fall of 2010. Born and raised in Horseheads, NY, Amber graduated from SUNY Binghamton with a Master’s of Science degree in Student Affairs Administration. Amber started her college career at Corning Community College where she earned an Associate's of Arts degree in Liberal Arts and decided to continue with her education by transferring to Mansfield University where she earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in Psychology with a minor in Human Resources.

Amber is directly responsible for introducing prospective transfer students to the great educational opportunities at EC and guiding them through the admissions process. As a former transfer student herself, she will work with you every step of the way.

Patrick Gillette joined the Admissions team in 2009. Originally from Waverly, NY, Patrick graduated from Mansfield University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Liberal Studies with a minor in Music. During his four years as an undergraduate Patrick was very active on campus as a three year Resident Assistant, tour guide, Orientation Team member, and as a member of multiple performing arts groups. At Elmira College Patrick stays active as the co-advisor to the co-ed A Cappella group the EC Naturals.

You are most likely to meet Patrick traveling throughout Eastern NY. He is directly responsible for guiding and assisting prospective students through the admissions process of finding their home away from home at Elmira College

Christine Brown ’11 joined the Admissions team in the Summer of 2012. Born and raised in West Hempstead, NY, Christine graduated with honors from Elmira College with a degree in Elementary Education, Social Studies, Anthropology & Sociology. While at EC, Christine was a recipient of the Founders Honor Scholarship, an Orientation Leader, a chairperson on the Student Alumni Council and Student Activities Board, while actively involving herself in various other activities on campus.

Christine first began her career at Elmira College as the Student Life Assistant. One year later, she changed her professional focus, and is now an Elmira College Admissions Counselor. She is currently working on completing her Master’s degree in Literacy Education from Elmira College. During her graduate studies and employment, Christine served as advisor to the Orientation Executive Committee and is currently serving as advisor to the Elmira College Chiclettes – the female A Cappella group.

Christine will be traveling through Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine, introducing prospective students to the great educational opportunities at EC and guiding them through the admissions process.

Bethany Forss '10 started in the Admissions Office in the Summer of 2012. Originally hailing from Sturbridge, Massachusetts, Bethany attended Elmira College and graduated with honors as a triple major in English Literature, Criminal Justice, and Political Science with a minor in Sociology. While a student she was actively involved in student government, served as a Gold Key tour guide, and worked as a Resident Assistant.

Bethany is currently working on her Master's Degree in General Management at Elmira College. Bethany will be travelling in the New Jersey, Long Island, and New York City area to meet students. She intends to show prospective students the wonderful academic and leadership opportunities Elmira College has to offer.

Sarah Thomassen ’12 joined the Admissions staff in the summer of 2012. Born and raised in Stewartstown, Pennsylvania, Sarah is a 2012 graduate from Elmira College with degrees in history and adolescent education. While a student at Elmira, Sarah was a four year member of the varsity field hockey team, and captain in her senior year. Sarah was also the vice president of the tap ensemble, a member of orchesis, along with other campus activities. She also served as a tour guide and an orientation leader. While at Elmira, Sarah spent her term three in her sophomore year studying in France and Italy. Sarah is pursuing her Master’s degree in literacy from Elmira College.

Sarah will be traveling to eastern Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut. Her goal is to guide and support all prospective students through the admissions process.

Nolan Oxley ’13 joined the Admissions team in Summer 2013. Originally from Endicott, NY, Nolan graduated with honors from Elmira College and majored in Speech and Hearing, while also receiving a minor in Theatre. As a student, Nolan received the Founders Scholarship and was involved in various clubs and activities throughout his four years as an undergraduate. The Theatre program, serving as an Orientation Executive Committee member in 2012, and being a member of the Gold Key Society in the Office of Admissions, are just a few of the highlights of Nolan’s college experience.

Nolan is currently working on his Master's Degree in Corporate and Community Education at Elmira College. He will be working with students from Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, Washington D.C., and the Southwest portion of New York State. Nolan is excited to work for his Alma Mater and to encourage students to attend a college he has been happy to call home for the past five years.

KatieLynn Burke’14 joined the Admissions team in the summer of 2014 and currently works with transfer students, helping them find their place at Elmira College. Originally from Medford Lakes, NJ, KatieLynn graduated from Elmira College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Childhood Education and is currently working on her Master's Degree in General Education here at Elmira. As a student, KatieLynn was an active member of the Elmira campus, serving as an Orientation Leader, an executive member of one of the A Cappella groups, a manager of the Admissathon Program, and worked four years as a student assistant in the Office of Admissions. During the third term of her senior year, she even traveled with some of her fellow classmates to the country of Ireland!

KatieLynn is very excited to be a part of the Elmira College admissions staff and looks forward to working closely with all prospective transfer students.

Shawn Howze joined the Admissions team in the summer of 2014. Born and raised in Elmira, New York, Shawn graduated from Mansfield University in 2013 where he majored in Public Relations and Organizational Communication. As a student at Mansfield, Shawn worked in the Admissions Office and Academic Initiatives Office, as well as serving as a Resident Assistant for three years. In the Fall of 2011, Shawn took a paid internship in the Office of the Speaker of the PA House of Representatives. Shawn was very active on campus at Mansfield, serving as Secretary, then President, of the Mansfield Activities Council, Treasurer of the Public Relations Student Society of America, and Intramurals Soccer Captain for four years.

Shawn is currently working on his Master’s Degree in Corporate and Community Education at Elmira College. He will be working with prospective students from the 37 states West of Ohio and South of Virginia, and also the territories of Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. He is very excited to be a part of the Elmira College Admissions Team and to work with prospective students.
