Theatre Curriculum

theatre OverviewFaculty
Bachelor of Arts (A. B.)

The curriculum is geared both to the student who aims for a professional career and to the integration of the theatre field with a liberal arts education. A student may specialize in acting-directing or technology-design, as well as the study of theatre history and dramatic literature.

The department offers five major productions annually in two theatres. The Gibson Theatre features proscenium stage and a 450-seat auditorium. The Watson Arena is a flexible performing space that stresses the development of new talent and serves as a laboratory for student directors.

In addition to the required number of credits needed to complete the major, all students must also fulfill the general degree requirements in order to graduate.
