AMS 2010: Introduction to American Studies: Perspectives on the American Dream
AMS 2020: Individualism and Community in American Life
AMS 4590: Senior Seminar in American Studies (W course)
HIS 1400: United States History I Through 1877
HIS 1401: United States History II 1865 to Present

Electives One AMS course at the 3000 level or higher 3.0
Five American content courses approved by faculty in American Studies to assure a thematic or disciplinary coherence. (At least two of these must be at the 3000 level or above.)

One course in either European or Non-Western Culture and Civilization beyond those required by the General Education Program of the College. 3.0


In addition to the required number of credits needed to complete the major, all students must also fulfill the general degree requirements in order to graduate.
