The Waiver Option

What is the waiver option?
If you attend a performance other than those on the Encore schedule, you may receive credit for attending the performance if it fits the criteria of the Encore program.

How do I find out more information about the waiver option?
Call the Office of the Encore Program at ext. 1814 or stop by the Box Office in Emerson Hall.

What Qualifies?
Professional grade programs which emphasize classical instrumental or theatrical genres, including:

  • Symphony or Philharmonic Orchestras
  • Opera
  • Ballet
  • Broadway
  • Dramatic Theatre
What do I do?

  • Obtain a waiver form from the Box Office or print it from the website.
  • Fill out the waiver form
  • Submit it with the ticket stub, the program for the performance and a 100-word paper
  • You will be notified by email if your waiver form has been accepted or refused.
You are allowed two waiver options per term.  If you attend waiver performances during Term III or over the summer, feel free to submit waiver forms for the next term.
