Beijing Guitar Duo

Beijing Guitar Duo, comprised of Meng Su and Yameng Wang, first met at the Central Conservatory in Beijing, China with the Duo formally established at the encouragment of Manuel Barrueco, their teacher and mentor, at the Peabody Conservatory of Music in Baltimore, Maryland. As recipients of the Solomon H. Snyder Award, the Duo made their New York debut at Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall with critical acclaim. Upcoming concert season higlights include Holland, Germany, Ireland, Finland and Croatia. Their first Duo recording received  a Latin GRAMMY nomination for the featured work Maracaipe, which was written and dedicated to them by composer Sergio Assad.
