Caribbean Extravaganza Steel Drum Band


Hailing from Trinidad & Tobago, the Caribbean Extravaganza Steel Drum Band invites audiences to hear the sounds of the Caribbean and feel the rhythm of the drums. Specializing calypso, reggae, soca, pop and classical music, the Band began their music career in the 1970’s under the tutelage of their father, famous Trinidadian musician Cyril Diaz. The Caribbean Extravaganza Steel Drum Band has traveled extensively throughout the United States, Canada, Japan, South Korea and the United Arab Emirates. The Band has been nominated to the Music Hall of Fame, Buffalo, NY and received first place winner of the 1994 World Beat Band category, Buffalo New York Music Awards. Extravaganza Caribbean Steel Drum Band’s performances also include: Board of Education, Buffalo, NY Bilingual Program, State of New York Narcotics Addiction Control, Masten Park Rehab Center, Caribbean Culture of Buffalo, NY, The Lupus Foundation, Jerry Lewis Muscular Dystrophy Telethon, Salvation Army, Taste of Buffalo, Jimmy Buffett Parrot Head Club of Western New York, Underground Railroad, M&T Concert series, Youngstown Concert series, Blasdell Concert series, Orchard Park Pavilion Concert series, Lackawanna Concert series, Jellystone Resort, Jim Kelly's Hunter's Hope Foundation and Candlelight Ball, Make-a-wish Foundation, Lafayette Square concert, The Trafalmadore and The Colored Musicians Club.
