AM Duo Histoire du Tango

The AM Duo, composed of violinist Emil Altschuler and guitarist Jerome Mouffe, present an eclectic mix of classic and contemporary works. Emil Altschuler has been described by master violinist Erik Friedman as having “a sound and accuracy of intonation that are truly extraordinary.” Altschuler holds degrees from the Julliard School and the Yale University School of Music. Guitarist Jerome Mouffe earned his Master of Music degree from the Conservatoire Royal deBruxelles and a Postgradiert Diploma at the Mozarteum Universitat, Salzburg. He is a doctoral candidate at the New England Conservatory, Boston under the direction of Eliot Fisk. His debut CD, Capriccio, was released in 2009. The Hardwick Gazette raves of the AM Duo "coordination was spectacular, with sensitive phrasing and a depth of feeling in their touch" and The Armenian Weekly says "musicians who are also artists."
