Biology Curriculum

Biology OverviewFaculty
Bachelor of Arts (A. B.) or Bachelor of Science (S. B.)

The range of courses in the biology curriculum is unusually broad and requires intensive study.

Secondary teaching certification in Biology can be acquired with the addition of several education courses.

Biology majors have many career options. Graduate education in the health professions (pre-medicine, veterinary, or dentistry) or in ecology, microbiology, physiology and pharmacology is possible. Careers in research laboratories, governmental agencies, and environmentally oriented companies are also popular choices.

In addition to the required number of credits needed to complete the major, all students must also fulfill the general degree requirements in order to graduate.
