Elmira College is located in the stunning Finger Lakes
region, only hours from New York City,
nestled in the hills of upstate New York. Elmira is a small,
safe city of about 35,000 with great coffee shops and
eateries.
The Finger Lakes area offers opportunities for skiing, golf, hiking, water sports, bike touring, museums, restaurants, and wineries. We are close to the cities of Ithaca, Syracuse, Binghamton, Rochester, and Buffalo. We're not far from the major urban areas of Toronto, New York, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C. The Mark Twain Study and the Mark Twain Exhibit in Hamilton Hall
Our on-campus attractions draw more than 10,000 visitors each year. The exhibit contains many photos and other memorabilia from Twain’s time in Elmira.
